Amnesty Youth
Graphic Design, Visual Identity

Amnesty Youth is a sub-brand of Amnesty International Denmark, creating a nationwide community for young people aged 15-25 to engage in activism for human rights. The visual identity draws inspiration from history-changing imagery of prominent human rights activists like Marsha P. Johnson and Audre Lorde, honoring them as central figures in the brand. Retro school iconographies, emphasized with underlines and bold and overly-expressive serif typesetting, give the identity a youthful and contemporary feel.

Gambarino Regular is a condensed, single-weight serif typeface that balances historical typesetting with post-modern and contemporary expressionism. The identity leverages this by using it for bold and large headlines, creating a striking and modern visual impact.

The colors of the identity are directly drawn from the imagery, creating cohesion between the various visual assets.

The identity extends to both printed materials and digital assets, such as social media, for the organization to use.
